Can you provide me with a flash website or audio/video/database heavily driven website?
[ Missing Space ] primarily purpose is to provide simple and clear designed websites and there are many other companies who are in a better position in providing this type of service. However, free feel to contact us to discuss any initial concepts and ideas.
Why are you providing free website designs, whereas other web design companies are charging £££ for this service?
With our unique business model, we are able to offer this service free of charge and the cost is absorbed into the yearly hosting/support package.
How long does it take to build my website?
There are many factors involved including from the amount of information you would like to put on the site to the amount of work we have on our books but a 2-4 week turnaround is standard.
How can I pay for my hosting/support service?
Once the site has been completed and you are happy to go ahead, an electronic invoice will be sent via Paypal. If this isn't paid within 10 days, the site will be cancelled. This is a one-off payment for ONE year hosting and support, which is non-refundable and due upfront.
How do I send information to you to build my website?
Depending on the size of the information, you can simply put it in an email and click send, or within a word document which you can attach to an email. If you have any photo/images that you would like to include, these can be attached to the email as well. However for larger size files, it's recommended to transfer them onto a CD/Memory Stick and send them by post.
Where will my website be hosted?
Your website will be hosted on Dell Servers with one of UK's leading hosting companies and you can safe in the knowledge that your site will be securely hosted.
I don't have any appropriate photos, so how can I get some for my website?
We recommend that you go to www.bigstockphoto.com or www.istockphoto.com or a similar sites that offer royalty-free photos that we can use for your web design. However there are plenty of sites that offer free images for commercial use.
Can anybody have a free website design?
This service is provided to sole traders, family-run, small companies/businesses, charity/non-profitable organisations, etc - unfortuntely we do not provide this service for personal websites e.g. sites dedicated to your favourite pop star.
Do you use templates or is each website a bespoke design?
Each website will be designed especially for you, incorporating any ideas or any specific colour schemes that you like to have.
Is there a limit to how much information or pages I can have on my website?
Please submit a brief in regards to your requirements - if it too much work for us, we will report this back to you. We provide a complete full website package, not just a business card style or one page site.
Is this service, a completely risk-free package?
Yes, completely, if you decide having reviewed the initial design that you do not wish to proceed, everything is cancelled. Since there is no deposit to pay, the only thing you would have lost is time spent preparing the brief/information. [ MISSING SPACE ] has full rights of reserve on cancelled initial web designs and cannot be transferred to anyone.
Are there any types of websites that you do not provide?
There are currently a few restrictions including sites that offer illegal services or images. Please use the contact form to provide an initial brief to see whether we can build the site for you.
Can my website be ecommerce enabled, meaning can I sell items on my site?
Yes, if you have a Paypal account, we can intergrate this on your website.
Once my website is completed, will it appear on the major search engines?
On completion of your site, it will be submitted to the search engines but does can take up to several months for it to appear. Unfortuntely nobody can guarantee a high ranking anywhere on major search engines like Google, MSN and Yahoo.
Do you share our company/personal details to anyone?
Absolutely no, we have full respect for our customers privacy - We will not sell, share, or rent this information to anyone.
What is a domain name and do I need one for my website?
A domain name is the top level user friendly web address - a memorable domain name, or a domain name that reflects your company means that more people are likely to find your website (e.g. www.missingspace.co.uk). It is recommended by you purchase a domain name through a reputable company - www.123-reg.co.uk or www.heartinternet.co.uk - or we can provide assistance is helping you setup your domain name. It is not necessary to have a domain name however your URL for your site would be something like - www.yourcompanyname.missingspace.co.uk - which makes it difficult for users to find.
Why have you said refused to build me a website?
Please note that I reserve the rights to decline any offer for our services - There could be one of many reasons, from being unable to fulfil you requirement of your site to having a large workload at present.
Once my site is finished, how do I make additional charges?
Simply email any changes you have and we will make those for you. On completion of your website, an username and password will be provided to you if you capable of editing your website via FTP.
Do you provide this service to those outside the UK?
Yes, no problem.
